Q. My homeowner's association meets regularly in private to discuss business and they exclude homeowners. When I confronted them, I was told that it is considered a private committee meeting and not a board meeting. Is this legal?
A. No. The board cannot meet in private and call it a committee meeting. Under Florida law, a meeting of the board of directors occurs whenever a quorum of the board meets to conduct association business. Therefore, if a quorum of the board is meeting at the clubhouse to discuss business, the meeting must be open to all owners.

En effet, c'est l'anniversaire de Claude Baron.
Claude a été actif lors de ses séjours chez-nous comme organisateur de 500.

Lauderhill raises tax, fire fees--

Homeowners will pay a higher tax rate and fire fee under a fiscal year 2004-2005 budget adopted Monday night by Lauderhill commissioners.Starting Oct. 1, residents will see their property tax rate increase from $5.82 to $6.02 per $1,000 of assessed value. Under the new rate, the owner of a $150,000 home who takes a $25,000 homestead exemption will pay $752.50 a year in city property taxes, up from $727.50.
The fee residents pay for fire protection will increase from $98 to $142.

Beaucoup d’internautes vont visiter le site web en construction, mais malheureusement, je ne peux y mentionner si nous aurons les activités des années passées, cette saison.
Car je ne reçois des intéressés aucune information.
Je pense au service dominical, je pense au bingo, je pense au shuffleboard , je pense è a pétanque , à l’exposition du Comité des Arts, au marché aux puces, aurons-nous des spectacles, la télévision ajoute-t-elle des nouveaux postes?le whist militaire, le bridge..enfin….je suis dans l’ignorance.
Je sais que les service de la bibliothèque se continueront, je sais qu’il y aura encore de la balle-molle, cette saison, des concerts seront donnés par Suzanne et Gilles Proulx…..qu"il y a une croisière ....
Le message est passé…avis aux responsables.

Once again our area has been spared. We were prepared; but, luckily, all we had was rain and wind--no loss of power. However, on Oakland Park Blvd., a big ficus tree fell on power lines. Many homes are without power in that area.Today, over here, the sun is shining and everything is calm. The mayor said to keep off the roads until the roads have been checked for downed wires and fallen trees.
